Felines and Females Exhibition

A new exhibition titled ‘Felines and Females’ will be on display at the Norman Lindsay Gallery at Faulconbridge, until the end of May 2017. This exhibition includes a range of Lindsay’s feline friends, from pen and wash drawings of the artist’s special studio cats, to pencil studies of lions and leopards and even paintings of the mythical female sphinx which fascinated him throughout his life.

Upcoming events are a special talk titled Artful Cats with author Meg Stewart on Saturday the 22nd April. Meg and her parents Douglas Stewart and Margaret Coen, were frequent visitors to Norman Lindsay at his Springwood home and she shares her memories of the cats that lived here in the 1950s and 60s. The talk is free with normal admission and starts at 2pm.

Exhibition dates

This exhibition runs until the end of May 2017.
